What is a Golden Path?

Golden path is an AI powered analysis tool, which allows our customers to define the optimal path to get to time-to-value on their software and understand why their users are deviating from the optimal path.

Why Golden Path?

• Understand how user deviates from the optimal flow
  • Different from traditional funnels, golden path is action based and not url based, it tells you if the user are performing the optimal sequence of actions to achieve a giving intent.

  • Golden path group the users depending on their distance from the golden path.

• Understand why they deviates
  • For each group of users we explain how and why they deviates from the golden path, what are the frictions points facing them and what are the repeated patterns and workarounds.

How Golden Path works:

• We extract the user flow (sequence of actions) from the session replay using a combination of our Genie and AI analysis pipeline.

• We then scan through all of your users’ session replay to first identify the relevant session replays and then calculate the deviation and then the why?

• For each user and group of users, we analysis, summarise and extract valuable insights (cause of deviation, where and how, friction points, workarounds and drop off etc.)

How we are currently improving Golden path

• Scaling and latency
  • We are implementing a chain of light but accurate models that will improve the latency of our golden path analysis, handle high volume of sessions.

• Accuracy and details:
  • We are adding more details from the session replay json to go into more detail as to why a user flow deviated from the expected actions

• Explainability and hypothesis:
  • We will link our GP to our new Hypothesis testing functionality to help our customers test and validate their hypothesis.

  • Explainability: We are working to improve our explainability feature to go beyond a simple Why by adding more metrics and hypothesis testing
