You’ll need 3 values (grabbed in Steps 2 & 3):

• 🔑 Personal API Key

• 🌐 Host URL

• 🆔 Project ID

To connect PostHog ↔ Autoplay you need 3 values:

• 🌐 Host URL

• 🆔 Project ID

1️⃣ Get Your Host URL

1. Open your PostHog account (e.g. app.posthog.com)

2. Copy everything up to & including .com → e.g. https://app.posthog.com

💡 Same value across all projects on this instance.

2️⃣ Find Your Project ID

1. Open your project in PostHog

2. Check the browser URL → https://app.posthog.com/project/abcd1234

3. Copy the part after /project/ → e.g. 123564

3️⃣ Create a Personal API Key

1. PostHog → Settings → Personal API Keys

2. Click “Create API Key”

3. Name it e.g. Autoplay Integration Key

4. Press Project → link the correct project

5. Permissions — read access to:
   • Project

   • Query

   • Session Recordings

   • Person

   • Cohort

6. Click Create → copy the key

⚠️ Shown once only — save it securely.

Host URL = base of your PostHog link, up to & including posthog.com.

Host URL → https://us.posthog.com

Project ID = the number right after /project/.

Project ID → 118223

1. Enter:
   • Host URL

   • Project ID

   • Personal API Key

2. Click “Connect”

3. You should see → ✅ Success
